Well, summer is here and we have a few things to report. First up, we’d like to thank everyone who came to the awesome party Sailor Jerry threw this week at BATL in Toronto. We got to hang out with our old pals Public Animal and Burning Love, who both played amazing sets.

You might have noticed that we don’t have any shows booked at the moment. But before you get cranky, the reason is that starting July 8th, we’re in the studio to track beds for our new LP!  Indeed, in just over a week’s time we’ll be holed up in the newly minted Union Sound Company to begin work on our follow up to Monsoon Season. We’re thrilled to once again be working with Matt Dematteo (who was responsible for the crushing mixes and general production wisdom on both Monsoon and the 10 inch) and Leon Taheny (with whom we recorded the bed tracks for Monsoon).

We’re really excited about this next batch of tunes. A couple of people have asked if we’ve played any of them at our recent shows. The answer is NO. This is an entirely new swath of material. We’re obviously a long way from being able to do so, but we look forward to being able to share them!
